Card XXV: Homer
Write from fragments
What if your writing didn’t start with a strict outline…
…but with a collection of various stories and tall tales?
What if the beginning wasn’t a thesis or a plan, but a small detail you once overheard, or a memory someone shared in passing, or a thread of myth that drifted towards you without explanation?
This is the spirit of Card XXV: Homer.
Homer himself has been placed into the land of legend, but in his time, he was a man who traveled from shore to shore, listening to fishermen, sailors, merchants, grandmothers, priests, and wanderers.
